TieDown Express (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the TieDown Express platform, which provides aircraft parking reservation and management services to FBOs and pilots across the United States. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain, and protect personal information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly when using our services:
- Contact information — name, email address, phone number
- Aircraft information — tail number (publicly registered)
- Reservation details — dates, aircraft type, estimated cost
- Check-in / check-out records — tail number, email, dates on field
- Visitor log entries — tail number, visit date, optional name and purpose
- Technical data — IP address at time of submission
We do not collect payment card information. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To process and confirm parking reservations
- To maintain ramp and check-in records for FBO operators
- To send transactional emails (reservation confirmations, check-in receipts)
- To prevent abuse and enforce rate limits (IP address)
- To contact FBO trial applicants during account verification
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.
3. Data Sharing
Your information may be shared with:
- FBO operators — the airport operator at your selected airport receives your reservation and check-in details in order to manage parking.
- Email service provider — we use an SMTP relay (Microsoft office365) to send transactional emails. Your email address is transmitted to this provider solely to deliver your message.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
4. Data Retention
- IP addresses are automatically removed from all records after 90 days.
- Visitor log entries are automatically deleted after 365 days.
- Check-in / check-out email addresses are removed from records older than 365 days (the check-in date record is retained for operational history).
- Reservation records are retained for 3 years for business and tax purposes.
- Hangar renter information is retained until the rental ends and the record is cleared by the FBO operator.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell data)

6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, bcrypt password hashing, and CSRF protection on all forms. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.
In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable state law.
7. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know, delete, correct, and limit use of sensitive personal information.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
